Transport to and from Agra :


Air -


It is a 40 minute flight from New Delhi (the capital) to Agra.Agra's Kheria Airport is 9 km southwest of the city.Flights are on Tuesday,Thursday,Saturday and Sunday to : Delhi and Khajuraho,en route to Varanasi.The Indian Airlines office is located at the Clarks Shiraz hotel.Sita World Travel,north side of Sadar Bazaar also does booking.


Bus -


Buses between Delhi and Agra operate about every hour.Most buses leave Agra from the Idgah bus station to : Ajmer,Bikaner,Delhi,Gwalior,Jaipur,Jhansi,Mathura, Udaipur.Buses to Varanasi start at Agra fort bus stand.There are deluxe buses between Agra and Jaipur every half an hour.


Train -


Agra has several railway stations.Agra Cantonment,Idgah,Agra Fort,Yamuna Bridge (across the river),Agra city (north of the town) and Raja Ki Mandi (northwest of old Agra).Agra Cantonment Railway Station is the main terminal,southwest of the city and at the west end of the Mall,running towards Taj Ganj.
The fastest train between Delhi and Agra is the daily air-con Shatabdi Express. Other trains to important cities are to : Bombay (Punjab Mail) ; Gwalior (Kerala Express) ; Lucknow (Ahmedabad Gorakhpur Express).
